The HoYoverse folks have unveiled when Petit Planet, the upcoming ‘cozy galactic life simulator’ game, will be coming to market. It’s set to launch on December 4th on PC and mobile with full cross-platform support, and then next year, it’ll launch on Nintendo Switch 2.
Petit Planet is miHoYo’s latest immersive virtual world experience. It takes players, known in this universe as Planet Tenders, and charges them to control the development of microplanets, building, running, and managing that planet over time and leading it to evolve.
Petit Planet Offers Galactic Experience Soon
In a new press release, the HoYoverse team revealed the core concept and story behind Petit Planet:
In Petit Planet, players take on the role of Planet Tenders, journeying to the Starsea on the back of Oumuamua, a Starsea Spirit said to listen to the wishes in people’s hearts. On their very own planet, they plant a Luca Seed that gradually grows into a Luca Arbor, shaping the planet’s landscape, seasons, and ecosystem over time.
Life on the planet is never lonely. Planet Coordinator Mobai and Starsea Racer Elsasani are the first to welcome each Planet Tender to their new home, with more Neighbors arriving over time, each with their own stories to tell. As players get to know their Neighbors, chance encounters can blossom into lasting friendships. Beyond life on their home planet, players can set sail across the Starsea to explore its scattered Islets, or head to the Galactic Bazaar to enjoy games, take part in auctions, and share their creations.
If you participate in the pre-registration program, you can soak up exclusive rewards just for getting ready for Petit Planet. There are more than 1,000 clothing and furniture items up for grabs, and if you team up with friends to pre-register together, you get even more rewards.
Starting today, November 1, you can take part in the Launch a Planet event, which invites players to design planets on the official site with a chance to win grand prizes.
Here’s the launch date trailer for Petit Planet:
You can pre-register for Petit Planet’s release on the Apple App Store, Google Play, and Epic Games. It won’t be coming to Steam yet, much like Genshin Impact.
