‘Tarkov Zombies’ Standalone Game Teased by Battlestate Lead

‘Teased’ might be an ambitious way to phrase it, but Battlestate Games’ Nikita Buyanov recently took to social media to ask if Escape from Tarkov players would want a separate co-operative zombie-themed game. This comes amid a hugely successful and energetic Halloween event being explored across the platform, bringing players face-to-face with bloodthirsty undead hordes.

If you jump into Escape from Tarkov right now, you’ll be able to get into The Lab and Factory to confront never-ending crowds of zombies, working your way through a desperate storyline to uncover the mysteries of the event. But Nikita asked if players wanted something like this permanently, and fans said yes.

Do You Want Permanent Tarkov Zombies?

In his post on social media, Nikita Buyanov asked a simple question:

Tarkov Zombies separate CooP game. Yes or no?

The most recent Escape from Tarkov event has been a hit with fans eager to sink their teeth (no pun intended) into more content. It includes a lengthy questline packed with rewards, high-risk escapades into maps packed with zombies, and exclusive achievements that you can unlock right now.

It’s a staple in the Escape from Tarkov calendar, and each year, Battlestate Games finds some way to top the previous year’s offering.

But a permanent zombies-themed adventure would be another thing entirely.

When Nikita asked his quarter-of-a-million followers if they wanted this permanently, they responded very positively. The vast majority of folks in the comments agreed that it would be an incredible inclusion within the Tarkov ecosystem, but others argued that the team is already spread thin enough.

Right now, Battlestate Games develops the core PvPvE platform, the PvE mode, PvP ‘Seasonal’ content, and Escape from Tarkov: Arena. There’s also some DLC coming, the Guncyclopedia content, and another potential standalone game whispering around somewhere.

I’d love a co-operative (read: PvE) Tarkov zombies experience, but would it be meaningful enough to make sense?
