You might not have realized it, but buying Grand Theft Auto 6 on November 19th could save you money in the long run. That’s according to Mark Tilbury, a British millionaire and social media mogul who made his money in toys, electronics, and social media and content. He currently has almost 20 million subscribers across his network.
In his latest viral clip, Tilbury walks into a UK store, grabs a display copy of Grand Theft Auto 6, and tells you how the game could save you up to $5,000. He has a calculator and everything, so you know he’s legit.
That’s sarcasm, by the way.
How Can GTA 6 Save You Money?
According to Tilbury’s logic, GTA 6 costs $99.99 and could take ’80 hours’ to complete, which he equates to $1.24 per hour of fun. He then reminds us that GTA 6 isn’t just a campaign, and he says that when you factor in side missions and the massive open map, you’re paying as little as 50 cents per hour of entertainment.
Great math.
He goes on to say that if you play GTA 6 for four hours every evening, that’s 50 nights of gaming in Leonida. Do you see where he’s going with this?
If you went out every night instead and spent around $100 a night on drinks, food, and activities, you’d spend $5,000 in the same time you’d have spent only $99.99 on GTA 6.
Here’s the full clip, which I’m still not sure is a paid ad:
The funny thing is, Tilbury’s logic is pretty airtight. It doesn’t take a genius to work out that you’ll be spending hours upon hours playing GTA 6, which might lead you to blowing off other things, things in the outside world.
But it has also been proposed that GTA 6 will cost the global economy billions through the sheer volume of people taking off work to play it, so that has to be weighed into consideration.
