A new trademark filing for Palworld Online has been spotted in the United States and South Korea.
Pocketpair has a lot on its plate at the moment, as they are currently working on releasing Palworld 1.0 in 2026, and a dating-sim spinoff for the franchise has been announced as well. However, it seems the developer might have one more thing up its sleeve, with a new trademark recently surfacing online.
Palworld Online Could be Related to 1.0 Release
According to a report by Gematsu, the trademark for Palworld Online has been spotted on the USPTO website and in South Korea, with the company filing for it in both regions towards the end of April. The listing doesn’t provide any hint of what this trademark could be for, as there is no description. The only thing that players can see is the new logo for ‘Palworld Online’. Other than that, the listing reveals that the application is awaiting assignment to an examining attorney.
There is a lot of speculation surrounding what Palworld Online could be, with many believing it is related to the game’s 1.0 release. The base game already features online multiplayer, which leads to confusion among players about the purpose of this new trademark. Some speculate that Palworld Online may offer a separate multiplayer mode once 1.0 launches, similar to what we have seen with Grand Theft Auto 5 and GTA Online. However, we will need to wait for an official announcement to know for sure.
In other news, a top company executive has revealed that Pocketpair isn’t aiming to turn Palworld into a media empire. Additionally, the lead at Pocketpair believes Palworld 1.0 could sit atop the survival crafting genre. What are your thoughts on the new Palworld Online trademark?
