Nintendo Releases New Pin Set Celebrating 40 Years of Zelda

Nintendo is celebrating 40 years of The Legend of Zelda this year. To continue the celebration, a 40th anniversary pin set is now available through My Nintendo accounts.

The first game, The Legend of Zelda, was released in February of 1986 in Japan. An updated version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time comes out on Switch 2 November 5, 2026.

The set comes with 2 pins that feature both a 40th anniversary logo and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time logo. They were announced on Nintendo’s X account (formerly Twitter), and placed on the My Nintendo Rewards page on November 4, 2026. People who have a My Nintendo account can pick up the pin set for 800 Platinum Points.

The pins are not available for purchase without Platinum Points. Signing up for a My Nintendo account is free and you cannot purchase Platinum Points.

To earn Platinum Points, members can complete different point missions that include playing Super Mario Run and Fire Emblem Heroes, achieving specific goals in the games, or Nintendo Services missions that involve interacting with various pages of Nintendo’s website or signing up for emails. The missions give members anywhere from 10-100 points. There is a shipping cost in addition to the 800 Platinum Points to redeem the Zelda pin set.
