Following several pushbacks, we’re still a few months away from getting our hands on STALKER 2, but that hasn’t stopped GSC Game World from releasing a new trailer to showcase the game’s stunning open-world environment. If the game had stuck to its original release schedule, we’d have already been playing STALKER 2 for several months, but the repeat delays are looking as though they’ll be worth the wait.
Not a Paradise Indeed
In the latest STALKER 2 trailer, dubbed ‘Not a Paradise’, we get a glimpse at the vast open-world map of STALKER 2. It’s only fifty seconds long, but it’s enough to set our expectations for exploration in this upcoming survival shooter. Here’s the brief trailer:
Presently, STALKER 2 is set to be released on PC and Xbox Series X|S on September 5, 2024. On all accounts, it seems as though that release date will be hit this time around. It’ll be dropping on day one on the Game Pass subscription service, which is a monumental victory for those paying for access to the digital library.
It has been more than fifteen years since we got a major release in the STALKER franchise, and fans are frothing at the mouth for something new. There was a classic collection re-released recently, but it was only a short-term placation for gamers eager to get back into The Zone and experience something fresh and even more terrifying.

They’ve done an awful job promoting this game and I mean Xbox. I didn’t even know Darktide was out.
