New Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 Teaser Reveals Release Window

A brand-new teaser has arrived for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, providing players with a Fall 2026 release window.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting news about the next season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners since it was announced at Anime Expo 2025. They were informed that they would receive a first look at the new anime season this July. In the meantime, the creators have released a short teaser to give fans a taste of what to expect before the main preview arrives.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 Teaser Reveals New Characters and Chaos

The teaser for Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2, released on the official YouTube channel, begins with visuals reminiscent of classic anime, with similar imagery occurring throughout the trailer. It features modern shots that maintain a dark, gritty atmosphere filled with psychosis, violence, and gore. While several characters are prominently showcased in the trailer, their identities and motivations remain unknown.

It features a killer background track that perfectly complements the teaser’s action, explosions, and drama. The teaser ends with the release window, Fall 2026.

The official description reveals that players will return to the world of Cyberpunk with a new standalone story featuring characters that have been thrown into the darkest corners of Night City. The new season comes from CD PROJEKT RED and TRIGGER; Kai Ikarashi, the man behind the first season of Edgerunners and SSSS. Gridman, is directing it, along with Kanno Ichigo from Promare as the lead designer and Hugo Award winner Bartosz Sztybor as showrunner, story writer, and producer.
