It’s time to return to Night City, as Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2 will get a first look at Anime Expo 2026 on July 3.
After a tease in June 2025, the highly anticipated second season of the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime was later confirmed at Anime Expo 2025. Now, the fans will receive their first glimpse at the upcoming season at the 2026 iteration of the event, with a panel hosted by the director, executive producer, showrunner, and more.
Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 Will Be Showcased at Anime Expo 2026
After a whole year of waiting, players will finally receive a first look at Cyberpunk Edgerunners Season 2 at Anime Expo 2026, as confirmed through an official X post (formerly Twitter). Players will be able to catch a glimpse of a new standalone story that takes them back to Night City. This will be followed by a behind-the-scenes discussion from the people who have brought this series to life.
The panel will feature Danny Motta, the director, Kai Ikarashi, the showrunner, Bartosz Sztybor, the executive producer, and Saya Elder, along with some special guests (maybe new cast members, we don’t know for sure). The event will be hosted on July 3 at 7:30 PM PT at Anime Expo in Crypto.com Arena.
Fans have been eagerly anticipating the new installment of this series, as the first one was incredibly popular and significantly boosted game sales. It will be fascinating to see what new characters and challenges are introduced in the upcoming season, as well as how the visuals will be enhanced, especially considering that the previous season set an impressive benchmark.
