Monster Hunter Wilds Is Still 2025’s Best Selling Game So Far

Monster Hunter Wilds remains at the top of the list as the best-selling game in the United States for 2025. Despite being closely followed by Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the latest in the Monster Hunter series has hung on to the number one spot since its release in February.

According to Circana’s latest data for April 2025, most of the top five for the year remained at the spots from March. The only difference was The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered. The remaster of the classic Bethesda title sold well enough to not only be the best-selling game for April, but also jump to the third spot on the best-selling list for the year.

Rounding out the top 5 were MLB The Show 25 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Forza Horizon 5, which debuted on PlayStation 5 in April, shot up from 48th on the year-to-date sales list to 13th.
