New listings reveal that Monster Hunter Rise is releasing for iOS and Android devices, and players will need a Netflix subscription to play the title on these devices.
The Monster Hunter franchise already has a mobile-only game releasing this month, with Monster Hunter Outlanders set to release on October 29, 2026. However, it has now been revealed that this is not the only mobile title players will receive from the franchise, with one of its top sellers being ported to other platforms.
Monster Hunter Rise Gets Mobile-Only Features and Improvements
Spotted RPGsite: Monster Hunter Rise has new listings on the iOS App Store and Android’s Google Play Store, both with a big ‘Netflix’ mentioned in the title. Which means that players need to be members of Netflix to play the title on mobile devices, similar to what we saw for Red Dead Redemption and GTA San Andreas some time back. Check out the new features and improvements made for the port below:
- The game has received reconstructed touch controls to work on smartphones and tablets. Each weapon has its own control scheme, and the visuals have been adapted to look natural on supported devices across different screen sizes and ratios.
- Players will see a new Recovery thatch that automatically selects the most effective item from the player’s inventory during a fight, depending on the hunter’s health and status. This will allow players to focus on more urgent matters during battles.
- Lastly, Challenge and Event quests that were previously paid or temporary content can now be unlocked by game progression.
