Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) could feature a mission involving a pet tiger. At least, one was pitched for the game during its development.
Speaking exclusively with Reece “Kiwi Talkz” Reilly for the latest episode of Kiwi Talkz on the Insider Gaming app, former Rockstar Games designer Jérémy Hartvick spoke about pitching ideas for games while working for the company. That included is very own pitch for a mission.
The GTA 6 Tiger King?
Hartvick said that at the time he was working on the game, the team would simply be asked to make pitches for missions. It was an open invitation, allowing developers to design and detail what they’d like to see in GTA 6.
That’s when he pitched his “Pet Tiger” mission.
He said when pitching missions, those responsible for finalizing what’s included would see if they fit within the storyline, as side missions, or just not at all. Hartvick added that, at the time, it was easier to pitch things as well because the main storyline was still being woven.
“It had that flexibility at that point where they were looking at how everything fits together, he said.
Hartvick didn’t go into details of what the mission would be about, but did say, “If there is a pet tiger mission or pet jaguar or whatever, that might be mine.”
