GameStop thinks you should pay nearly double for a PlayStation 5 Pro (PS5 Pro). That’s even if it’s used.
A new PS5 Pro is currently unavailable on GameStop’s website. However, they are offering pre-owned and refurbished models should you not want to wait for new systems to be in stock. They just want you to pay a premium.
Whether it’s pre-owned or refurbished, GameStop is charging $1,399.99 for a PS5 Pro. But don’t worry, if you have a GameStop Pro membership, you can get it for the discounted price of $1,329.99.
GameStop has not issued any statements regarding why the prices are so high, though it’s likely due to the fact that the console is sold out almost everywhere. Whether you go to GameStop, Amazon, Walmart, or Sony themselves, it’s unlikely you’ll find a PS5 Pro in stock right now.

The PS5 Pro is Sony’s top-of-the-line game console. It’s also its most expensive, but not that much. The system launched in 2024 for $699.99 before rising to $899.99 as Sony blamed current economic trends.
The PlayStation 5 Pro launched in November 2024 and features roughly a 60%-67% increase in overall GPU power, including double the ray-tracing performance. It also includes PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) upscaling that improves the visual fidelity of a number of games.
You can check out the full list of PS5 Pro specs below:
- Rendering 45% faster than PS5
- 2-3x Ray-tracing (x4 in some cases)
- 33.5 Teraflops
- PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution Upscaling) upscaling/antialiasing solution
- Support for resolutions up to 8K is planned for future SDK version
- Custom machine learning architecture
- AI Accelerator, supporting 300 TOPS of 8-bit computation / 67 TFLOPS of 16-bit floating point
