The Mojang title acts as a sequel to the original game, putting players in the midst of an adventure that takes you “across the Overworld and beyond.”

Is Minecraft Dungeons 2 on XBOX Game Pass?
Yes, Minecraft Dungeons 2 is confirmed as being added to XBOX Game Pass as a day-one launch for eligible tiers, following Microsoft’s rules regarding the service.
Aside from exceptions like Call of Duty, all first-party XBOX releases are automatically slated for a day-one launch for Game Pass subscribers on specific tiers.
XBOX Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers will gain access to Minecraft Dungeons 2 at launch on September 29, with other tiers having a different release structure.
Game Pass Premium subscribers have access to select XBOX-published games on the service within 12 months of the initial launch, while Game Pass Essential does not have any details regarding new releases and eventual inclusion on the service.
Which Edition of Minecraft Dungeons 2 is on XBOX Game Pass?
Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers will secure access to the Standard Edition of Minecraft Dungeons 2 through the service.
There are two versions available for Minecraft Dungeons 2, with the Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition to choose from, but it’s the less-expensive edition that subscribers will secure access to.
An upgrade to the Deluxe Edition will likely be available to purchase separately, which may appeal to players as it includes two pieces of post-launch DLC and a range of cosmetics.
In the original Minecraft Dungeons title, DLC was not included as part of a Game Pass subscription and required separate purchase, which is expected to remain the same for the sequel.
