Mina the Hollower is coming out this month. Yacht Club Games announced the release date on social media.
It was only on April 25 that the studio announced a release date would be coming soon. Now, they’ve confirmed the game will release on Friday, May 29, 2026. Furthermore, it was confirmed that the game will cost only $19.99. It’s planned for release on Sony PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 1 & 2.
Mina the Hollower Was Planed to be Released on Halloween 2025
Mina the Hollower is the follow-up from the creators of Shovel Knight. The game features a Game Boy Color-inspired art style and a soundtrack influenced by the MSX. It was originally set to release on Halloween 2025. Then, on October 6, 2025, the team announced a delay, promising to deliver their best work.
What began as a side project by Alec Faulkner was funded through a 2022 Kickstarter campaign. After more than six years in development, Yacht Club Games calls Mina their most ambitious project yet, featuring 25 bosses and mini-bosses. They also note that it’s their most expansive title to date.
Insider Gaming will continue to track updates leading up to the game’s release. For more on why Yacht Club Games believes this title could define their future, check out the full story at this link.
