The second new Mega Evolution that will be introduced in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has been revealed ahead of launch.
Set to launch on October 16, Pokémon Legends: Z-A has already had a reveal for Mega Dragonite, and now another Kanto Pokémon has had its design revealed.
Mega Victreebel will grace Pokémon Legends: Z-A with an eye-catching design and a rather terrifying reveal trailer.
Mega Victreebel Debuts in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
A teaser video, which premiered on YouTube and was subsequently shared to X (formerly Twitter), showed trainers exploring “rumors about a mysteriously sweet scent” coming from a building, with “found footage” showing the “darkened halls,” with certain parts “seem to have been melted.”
Mega Victrebell then has its big reveal, terrifying those in the building and spewing toxic liquid, forcing them to flee. Another trainer then appeared, urging Victrebell to “calm down” and saying it had “really made a mess of things.”
The design for Mega Victrebell will certainly raise eyebrows, with leaves on the appendage acting a little wings flapping as it bounces on its large body, while the vines wrapped around the top look pretty painful.
In gameplay footage from Pokémon Legends: Z-A that was shared, Mega Victreebel is seen bouncing after a Heracross and Pinsir, then engaging in battle with the latter, before wiping out an entire flock of Vivillion.
Mega Victreebel certainly looks like it could be a powerful asset for any trainer in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, as long as you can look past its frankly haunting design.
