Daredevil actor Charlie Cox has confirmed his role in an upcoming SEGA title that has yet to be announced, as his ventures into the gaming world continue.
Aside from portraying the Man Without Fear in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, Cox has lent his voice to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 as Gustave, where he was nominated for Best Performance at the 2025 Game Awards, and fans can expect to hear his voice in further video game titles.
Cox Set To Star In SEGA Title
Speaking to IGN at the New York Comic Con, Cox was asked if he was set to feature in any upcoming video games, and he confirmed he’s recorded 40 hours of dialogue.
“I did another one! It doesn’t have a name yet. I did a SEGA one. I’ve done one since. It hasn’t come out yet. It was fun to do; it’s hard. It’s a whole different job, man.
“I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say, but I showed up for it, and I met them for the first time, they asked me to do this game, and so I agreed to it.
“Then I had to do 40 hours or whatever it was, and I showed up for the first day, and I was like, ‘Hi guys, nice to meet you! How are you?’ And all of them went, ‘…oh, he’s English.’
“They’d hoped, they’d wanted him to be American. But now I’ve got to do 40 hours of lines I’ve not prepared in an accent. Yeah, I think they thought I was American.”
While information is slim about the game, Cox’s comments did offer some clues, with the character he’s portraying set to be an American, and the immense hours he’s put in suggest he will be a main character.
SEGA has a packed schedule for 2027 and beyond, with next year bringing the likes of Persona 4: Revival, Stranger Than Heaven, Alien: Isolation 2, and Crazy Taxi, but as Cox stated, he’s in an unannounced game, it seems it won’t be anything that we already know about.
