It has been announced that Massive Entertainment will now be Ubisoft’s Creative House 2, taking the lead on Tom Clancy’s The Division, Ghost Recon, and Splinter Cell, alongside new original IP, including March of Giants.

The announcement follows Ubisoft’s ongoing restructuring, which will see the French publisher cut an additional 180 million euros in its “third and final phase” of restructuring. Previously, Ubisoft said this would be 200 million euros; however, Insider Gaming understands that this has been cut to 180 million euros.

In the announcement post, it was said,
“Following Christoph Hartmann’s appointment earlier this year as General Manager of Creative House 2, its teams will now operate under the shared Massive Entertainment identity, with a portfolio that includes some of the most storied franchises in the video game industry – Tom Clancy’s The Division, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell -alongside new original IP including March of Giants.
The Massive Entertainment brand builds on a nearly three-decade legacy established in Sweden through its games and technology, earning the trust of players and recognition from industry peers alike.
Starting today, development teams responsible for these franchises in Montréal, Paris, Sweden, and Toronto will operate under the Massive Entertainment brand, bringing together their creative and technology expertise to shape its future, grow these franchises and craft challenging experiences for dedicated player communities.
“Massive Entertainment has always been defined by passion, ambition and incredible talent, and our focus now is on what comes next,” said Christoph Hartmann, General Manager of Massive Entertainment. “Bringing our teams together under one identity gives us the opportunity to combine the creative energy and expertise across Montréal, Paris, Sweden and Toronto to shape the next generation of these iconic franchises, create new games and IPs, and push our craft and technology forward.”
Massive Entertainment remains part of Ubisoft, which publishes and distributes all games developed under the Massive Entertainment brand. There is no change to ongoing commitments for players or partners.”
