Marvel Rivals Announces Return of Season 0 Battle Pass

To celebrate Marvel Rivals’ first anniversary since the first closed alpha test, NetEase announced that the Season 0 Battle Pass will return, as part of the Galacta’s Gift event.

Like other games, players can purchase the Standard Marvel Rivals Battle Pass for 990, which translates to $9.99, or the upgraded version for 2,100 which is equivalent to $19.99. However, instead of having a limited amount of time to earn enough XP to unlock every reward, once you purchase a Battle Pass, it never expires.

In saying that, you can’t purchase a Battle Pass from a season that has already ended. For example, Season 1 ended on April 11, meaning players can no longer buy it. And that also applies to Season 0, which ended in January. A large segment of players missed out on the first Battle Pass, though, so NetEase is giving players an opportunity to catch up.

NetEase announced, “To show our deepest gratitude for your unwavering love, following the May 15th update, we’re dropping the Galacta’s Gift event!”

By earning XP during the event, players can earn Nameplates, Sprays, and Chrono Shield Cards to a Costume Coin that lets you redeem the debut costume for any one of the 33 heroes featured in Season 0.

The event runs for a limited time from 05/15/2025 2:00 AM to 05/29/2025 2:00 AM PDT. The Season 0 Battle Pass will also be available for a limited price of 590 Lattice, which translates to $6.99. There are no free rewards, so all rewards require the Luxury Battle Pass.

NetEase also confirmed that future Battle Pass returns might occur, but any such plans will span at least two seasons and be priced at a minimum of 20% higher than the original seasonal rate.
