Grand Theft Auto 6 continues to firmly grasp the attention of gamers everywhere, even though it has just been delayed by an entire year. In a recent update, Rockstar Games published a new and meaty trailer, then dropped dozens of high-resolution screenshots, perfectly showcasing GTA 6 in all its glory.
Eagle-eyed gamers have recently taken to social media after spotting something suspicious in a screenshot that looks like a child. Owing to the controversial nature of the games, there has never been a child in a Grand Theft Auto title – but Red Dead Redemption 2 had them.
Could this be the first GTA game to feature children?
Child or Just a Short King?
The screenshot of GTA 6 that reportedly contains a child was shared on social media, splitting the community down the middle as the debate picked up. Is it a child, or is it just a shorter adult?
Decide for yourself:

Folks thought that they’d spotted children in the background of the ‘mud girl’ scene in the first trailer, released in December 2023. This is such a small detail to notice, but it could have drastic implications for Grand Theft Auto 6. Could Rockstar Games be able to feature children for the first time in franchise history?
If children are present in GTA 6, it’s almost guaranteed that they’ll a) be restricted to cutscenes, or b) will be exempt from any kind of harm.
Of course, when the game inevitably launches on PC, some morbid modder will tweak the code so that children can be killed. That’s what some darker minds did with Fallout 3, which featured a settlement run entirely by children.
