Helldivers 2 Gets New Illuminate Enemy Types and Weapon Customisation

The Illuminate has started targeting Super-Earth with new enemy types, and Helldivers 2 players have been provided with a weapon customisation feature to combat them.

New Helldivers 2 Illuminate Enemy Types

Illuminate is growing their fleet with larger and more powerful enemies, with three new enemy types joining Helldivers 2. First up are the Stingray: jet fighters supporting the Illuminate’s invasion from the sky. Next, we have the Crescent Overseer, which has the ability to unleash large barrages on Helldivers in cover. The third and most deadly enemy type is the Fleshmob, which has been described as a Frankenstein’s monster of Voteless parts.

Helldivers 2 Weapon Customisation

In Helldivers 2, players must utilise the new weapon customisation feature to confront the fresh Illuminate threats. Most primary weapons in the game have levels that can be unlocked by completing missions. As players progress through these levels, they can add attachments obtained through Requisitions. Additionally, players will have the option to cosmetically customise their weapons with unlockable patterns.

With the new customisation feature, players can adjust sights for precision, change magazines for increased ammo capacity, modify the colour pattern, adjust handling, optimise weapon performance characteristics, and more.

Moreover, Helldivers 2 has also released an emergency expansion for the Super Store, which you can check out here

In other news, six million COD players bought Helldivers 2, and the developers didn’t know how to respond. What are your thoughts on the new enemy types and weapon customisation for Helldivers 2? Let us know below, and join the discussion in the official Insider Gaming forums.
