LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Release Date Preponed

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is now releasing a week earlier, on May 22, 2026.

There are still a few months left before the release of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, but the entire community is excited about the upcoming title based on what has been revealed so far. We know the game features over 100 iconic suits and that its open world is larger than Arkham Knight’s. Now, players will have the opportunity to experience everything a week early.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Now Releases on May 22, 2026

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight’s initial release date was May 29, 2026; however, a new announcement from the official X account (formerly Twitter) states that the game will arrive early, on May 22, 2026. This means that the early access for the Deluxe edition has been moved up as well, with players who own this edition getting to play the game from May 19.

If you are looking to purchase the game, the pre-order bonus will include “The Dark Knight Returns” Batsuit. There are two editions of the title: Standard, which only includes the base game, and Deluxe, which includes a whole bunch of new and post-launch DLC content.

Through the Deluxe edition, players get access to the Legacy Collection, which includes the Arkham Trilogy Pack, Batman Beyond Pack, and Party Music Pack. Then you have the Mayhem Collection, a separate post-launch DLC planned for September 2026. It will include new playable characters, Joker and Harley Quinn, a new story mission, and Mayhem mode. Players also get the Sinister pack and 3 days of early access.

In other Batman news, 007 First Light took inspiration from the Batman: Arkham and Uncharted series for combat. Additionally, the Batman: Arkham Shadow sequel might be canceled after the developer was affected by recent Meta layoffs.
