It seems that Doom: The Dark Ages is the first 2025 title that has had its Denuvo cracked by pirates.
Denuvo DRM has been a subject of constant debate in the gaming industry for a very long time. Recently, we were informed that Crimson Desert will launch with Denuvo Anti-Tamper, which was enough to send fans into a frenzy. However, it now seems that a recent version of this software has been cracked.
Pirates Manage to Bypass Doom: The Dark Ages Denuvo
Spotted by The Gamer, a recent post on the r/CrackWatch subreddit claims that Doom: The Dark Ages has been cracked. The user, voices38, shared three links: the first two are text and image versions of the NFO file, while the third link directs to the Steam store page for the game. The post indicates that the game was successfully cracked on March 13, 2026, and that the format was ISO. It notes that the protections were Denuvo and Steam DRM.
Additionally, the post includes installation instructions for users interested in using the crack. What’s more, the pirate has revealed that the game’s real size is 81GB and also teased the next game they are working on, cracking, stating, “The next one might surprise you.”
Denuvo Anti-Tamper is software created to prevent the piracy and cracking of video games. However, there are allegations that this software may negatively affect a game’s performance, leading to issues such as reduced FPS, stuttering, and other problems. Conversely, some users argue that it has no impact on gameplay.
In other news, iD Software could be considering a return to the Quake series. Additionally, Doom: The Dark Ages was the “biggest launch” in id Software’s history.
