While initial plans placed Marvel Rivals firmly in the PC camp, it appears that’s about to change with an upcoming announcement. The word around town is that Marvel Rivals is coming to consoles, including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. So, when can we play Marvel Rivals on Xbox?
Can You Play Marvel Rivals on Xbox Series X|S?
Following various leaks on social media and mysterious code appearing on the game’s official website, it seems Marvel Rivals on Xbox Series X|S isn’t a pipedream. It’s happening; it’s just a matter of when.
Throughout the next few weeks, we have numerous upcoming gaming events, including the PlayStation State of Play and the Xbox Games Showcase. These events, along with Summer Game Fest, would provide the perfect stage for developer NetEase Games to announce console versions of Marvel Rivals.

Does Marvel Rivals Support Cross-Platform Play?
While we’re pretty sure of the upcoming console versions of Marvel Rivals, there’s no official word from the developer yet. As such, there is no official cross-platform support for Marvel Rivals, but it’s coming. There’s code within the PC version indicating crossplay and cross-platform functionality between PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Since the basis is already in place, this functionality will likely become activated when the game officially launches on all three systems. In this case, I don’t suspect we’ll have to wait for a post-launch update.
