After a long wait and a back-and-forth legal battle, Fortnite has finally returned to iOS devices in the United States and Europe, giving you another platform to play the title.
The battle between Epic Games and Apple in the courts seemed never-ending, with weeks of uncertainty after an app submission was ignored by Apple, but it’s finally come to a close.
The steps to getting Fortnite on iOS depend on your location, however, and there are some specifications to meet, all of which we’ve explained in this guide.
How to Download Fortnite Mobile

In the United States, Fortnite Mobile is available to download directly from the App Store.
In Europe, an additional step is required as the Epic Games Store app is required to be downloaded.
Once the Epic Games Store is on your device, use the app to install Fortnite and dive straight into the action.
If you live outside of these areas, Fortnite Mobile is not currently available on iOS, but Epic Games says they are “working with regulators around the world” to add the Epic Games Store in other regions.
Those outside of Europe and the United States can still play Fortnite on mobile using cloud streaming services like Xbox Cloud Gaming, Nvidia GeForce NOW, and Amazon Luna.
All Fortnite experiences, except for Save the World, are available on mobile, giving you full freedom of Battle Royale, Rocket Racing, Fortnite Festival, and thousands of Creative experiences to enjoy.
Just like console and PC versions, Fortnite Mobile is completely free, but if you choose to, there are plenty of in-app purchases you can make to unlock Battle Passes, skins, Jam Tracks, and more.
What Are The Minimum Requirements to Play Fortnite Mobile?
To play Fortnite on iPhone, the device must have 4GB of RAM and be running iOS 17.6 or higher.
iPhone 11 or newer iPhone models are supported when using iOS 17.6 or above, expect from the iPhone SE Generation 2—which has 3GB of RAM and, therefore, falls beneath the requirements.
iPhone 11 onwards, including the 2022 iPhone SE, can run Fortnite natively at 60 FPS.
For those on iPad, 4GB of Ram is required alongside iPadOS 18. Neither iPhone or iPad supports keyboard and mouse gaming, but there are some supported controllers.
If your device cannot meet these requirements, you may be able to play through the cloud using Xbox Cloud Gaming, GeForce NOW, or Amazon Luna.
