Capes have long been one of the most sought-after cosmetics in Minecraft, with many locked behind special events, promotions, or limited-time opportunities. Now, a brand-new cape has been revealed, and it’s available for free.
The Aurora Cape features a bright and colourful pastel design, and thankfully, every Minecraft player on both Java and Bedrock Edition can get their hands on it.
However, the cape is only available for a limited time, and you’ll need to watch some Minecraft Dungeons 2 content to claim it. With that in mind, here’s everything you need to know about getting the free Aurora Cape in Minecraft.
How To Claim Minecraft Aurora Cape Twitch Drop Rewards
The Aurora Cape is available as both a Twitch Drop and TikTok Game Reward, although you’ll need an account on your chosen platform to claim it.
If you’re using Twitch, you’ll need to find any Twitch Partner or Affiliate streaming Minecraft Dungeons 2 and watch for a total of 15 minutes. Alternatively, TikTok users can claim the cape by watching three minutes of Minecraft Dungeons 2 content on a stream with Game Rewards enabled.
Once you’ve watched for the required amount of time, you’ll receive a code that can be redeemed through Minecraft’s official redemption page. After redeeming it, the Aurora Cape will be added to your Minecraft account, and you’ll be able to equip or unequip it in-game whenever you want.
Thankfully, it’s a fairly quick process compared to many other Twitch Drops, but you’ll need to act fast if you want to add the Aurora Cape to your collection.
Minecraft Aurora Cape Twitch Drop Release Times
The promotion for the Aurora Cape in Minecraft begins on September 29 at 12 AM PT, and ends almost two weeks later on October 14, 11:59 PM PT.
That gives you just over two weeks to find a participating stream and claim the cape for yourself. Since you only need to watch for 15 minutes on Twitch, or three minutes on TikTok, it shouldn’t take long to unlock.
