It’s time for the next step along the Path to Doomsday in Marvel Rivals, with a new Infinity War-themed limited-time game mode arriving in the game. Once again, NetEase is mixing things up, with the gameplay on offer different to anything we’ve seen before.
Gone is PvE, as these matches feature 12 players split into six teams of two. In these duos, you’ll go head to head against other pairs in 2v2 battles, until only one team is left standing. Pair that with the match-altering effects of the Infinity Stones, and it’s shaping up to be an exciting addition.
It all might sound a bit confusing, so here’s everything you need to know about the new Infinity War game mode in Marvel Rivals, including all of the playable characters and Infinity Stone effects.
All Playable Characters During Infinity War LTM

There are 13 playable characters available during the Path to Doomsday: Infinity War event in Marvel Rivals.
All of them featured in the original Avengers MCU film, and it’s your goal to pick a character to partner up with and take on other teams of two in 2v2s. Of course, not every beloved character from Infinity War is playable in the game, but the roster of 13 is a solid enough set to pick from.
Here’s every playable character available during the Path to Doomsday: Infinity War game mode in Marvel Rivals:
- Doctor Strange
- Captain America
- Groot
- Thor
- Black Panther
- Black Widow
- Iron Man
- Spider-Man
- Scarlet Witch
- Winter Soldier
- Star-Lord
- Mantis
- Rocket Raccoon
All Infinity Stone Effects During Infinity War LTM
All six Infinity Stones are usable during the Path to Doomsday: Infinity War game mode in Marvel Rivals, and they each have unique effects.
Each team will start with a randomly assigned Infinity Stone, with players able to claim another team’s Stone after eliminating them. Each Stone provides unique effects tied to cooldowns, while Enhanced Effects can further strengthen their abilities.
That said, the exact abilities of each Infinity Stone have yet to be officially revealed. We’ve been able to piece together some details from snippets shown in the trailer, but until NetEase pulls back the curtain completely, here’s what we know so far:
