Arrowhead Game Studios has arrived with the Galactic Sterilization Program for Helldivers 2, where players need to hunt for a new Noxious strain of Terminids.
Helldivers 2 just got new content, adding new Noxious Terminid enemy types (a small one and a big one) with different poisonous attacks, plus more caves spawning in different biomes. Players can expect to fight these new Terminids starting today, and they could appear anywhere, from scorched deserts to frozen tundras.
Helldivers 2 Adds Noxious Scavenger and Noxious Spewer
The first new Noxious enemy type in Helldivers 2 is the Noxious Scavenger, which looks like the Scavenger but is a lot quicker and can also inflict poisonous attacks. However, they are easy to damage, so crowd-control weapons like shotguns, flamethrowers, and grenades might be the right idea.
The Noxious Spewer, on the other hand, is harder to handle because it’s not only large; it also moves quickly and has different types of Web Attacks. The first is the Web Spit, which will impact the player’s ability to sprint, and the enemy can quickly catch up and inject a lethal dose of venom with its bite. To defeat it, attack the abdomen; however, when it bursts, it causes a Web Explosion, so be careful.

Both new Terminid enemy types in Helldivers 2 spew Noxious Venom, and it can have different effects. The condition appears on the player’s HUD; if they are ‘Lightly Poisoned,’ their vision becomes hazy, and their health steadily drains. In the ‘Heavily Poisoned’ state, players will take increased damage over time, lose the ability to sprint, have hazy vision, and get a visit from Lady Liberty. To cure your condition, use Stims.
Since the new Helldivers 2 update increased the number of Noxious Terminids, players will see caves across more biomes on the Galactic map. These caves feature tunnels with short sightlines, blind corners, and fast enemies. Players can check out the trailer for the new update below:
