We all knew The Elder Scrolls 6 was likely going to be called ‘Sentinel,’ after rumors and leaks, but it was nice to see it set in stone and finally get an update on the game. Unfortunately, subsequent updates still might be few and far between.
Fresh off the heels of Bethesda officially confirming The Elder Scrolls 6: Sentinel as its next game in the series, renowned journalist Jason Schreier delivered some disappointing news about the game’s future.
The Elder Scrolls 6 More Than 2 Years Away

Sentinel was revealed during Bethesda‘s 40th anniversary celebration video, which is apt, as this is how long it feels like it’s been since The Elder Scrolls 6 was first announced.

Jason Schreier took to BlueSky to give everyone some bad news in the midst of the Sentinel hype:
‘I think a lot of people forget that The Elder Scrolls VI was only announced in 2018 (along with Starfield) to soften the blow of Fallout 76 — “Don’t worry, even though we’re making a multiplayer game we’ve got single-player stuff coming too!”
Sorry to say this game is still more than 2 years away!’
We should reiterate that ‘more than 2 years’ could be anything. Three, four, five…there really is no realistic or even loose timeframe for when we can expect to play Sentinel.
The wait goes on for concrete Elder Scrolls 6 info, so for now, keep rewatching the official name reveal for some semblance of an update.
