Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is set to release on August 13 after a short delay, and that date is drawing closer and closer. If you’re still on the fence about purchasing the intense military shooter, then it might be in your best interest to give the game a go ahead of time.
Thankfully, Expression Games is offering just that opportunity, with a playtest scheduled for July 2026. It’ll be the perfect opportunity to get to grips with the game and see if it’s for you, as trust us, it’s a step above the usual Call of Duty action.

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Playtest Dates
The upcoming Hell Let Loose: Vietnam playtest will begin on Friday, July 24, and end on Monday, July 27.
That gives you an entire weekend to grapple with the Vietnam War and get to grips with the realistic military action. Whether you decide to keep your boots on the ground or use one of the many ground vehicles, there are plenty of ways for you to engage in the fight.
The playtest will be available on PC, as well as on both the PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S, giving fans from a variety of platforms the chance to give the game a go. To add to that, full cross-platform play will be supported, so don’t worry about being locked to your system of choice.
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Playtest Start & End Times
The Hell Let Loose: Vietnam playtest will begin at 6 AM PT on July 24 and likely end at the same time on July 27.
It’s an early start for those of you on the West Coast, but the playtest will have a global release, meaning it’ll differ for those around the world. With that in mind, here’s a table adjusting both the start and end times for those of you in different time zones:

All Playable Content In Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Playtest
Building from the previous playtest, a new map will be playable during the Hell Let Loose: Vietnam July playtest.
Titled Đắk Tô Airfield, the location served as a key U.S. forward operating base during the war, and it’s looking to offer a unique pace of combat compared to other maps in the game.
Unlike Thanh Hóa Bridge, the map from the prior playtest, Đắk Tô Airfield should offer more close-quarters firefights within heavily fortified military positions. That said, there’s still an opportunity for wider vehicle engagements, thanks to the open airstrip and surrounding terrain, as well as the nearby villages, hamlets and jungles.
