Marvel is one of the biggest IPs out there, and there are tons of games for the franchise spanning a variety of genres. That said, it’s about time we got a new fighting game, and Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is ready to scratch that itch.
The 4v4 tag fighter is bound to be on plenty of radars, with many new to the genre bound to want to give it a go. That said, actually playing Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls might be more limiting than anticipated, as it’s not available on every platform out there.
With that in mind, here’s which platforms you can play Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls on.
Can You Play Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls On PS5?
This should come as no surprise to PlayStation fans, as Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is absolutely playable on the PS5.
That’s because Marvel Tokon is being developed in collaboration with PlayStation Studios, and it’s published by Sony. Therefore, the game is essentially a first-party title for PlayStation, meaning it’ll be made with the PS5 in mind.
That said, we know that PlayStation doesn’t have the best record of playing nice with other platforms, and it’s rare for their first-party titles to arrive on other consoles. But can the same be said for Marvel Tokon?
Can You Play Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls On XBOX Series X|S?
It’s bad news for XBOX fans: Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls will not be playable on any XBOX platform.
PlayStation has practically no history of releasing its titles on XBOX consoles, with the likes of Helldivers 2 being a very unique case. Even with flagship XBOX franchises like Halo and Gears of War arriving on the PS5, it seems the sentiment isn’t shared by Sony.
Can You Play Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls On PC?
Thankfully, PlayStation has a better relationship with PC players, as Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls will be available on PC via Steam.
There was a period of time when PlayStation first-party titles would appear on Steam after a few years of PS5 exclusivity, but Sony has since changed its motto and returned to a console-first mindset.
However, when it comes to multiplayer titles, there’s a big exception, and that applies to Marvel Tokon. They want as strong a user base as possible, with the more active players, the better. Thus, Marvel Tokon will be playable on PC day one alongside the PS5 release.
Can You Play Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls On Nintendo Switch?
To no surprise, you cannot play Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls on either of the Nintendo Switch platforms.
Sony and Nintendo have never had the best relationship when it comes to porting their games to each other’s platforms, and that stays true with Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. If you’re looking to play the 4v4 tag-fighter, you’ll either need to boot up a PS5 or invest in a PC setup, as it’s exclusive to those systems.
