More details continue to emerge ahead of the massive launch of Grand Theft Auto 6, with it revealed that you won’t be able to speedrun the story and will face some obstacles.
Rockstar Games‘ behemoth is undoubtedly the most anticipated video game of all time, with GTA 6 set to break records when it drops on November 19.
However, players wanting to fully commit to completing the main story as soon as possible may face some obstacles in their playthrough.
GTA 6 Gates The Main Story
Detailed in Edge magazine, via Games Radar, the system has been altered from previous entries in the season, which allowed you to play the next mission almost immediately after completing the previous one, but there is some natural gating that is present in GTA 6.
While it’s mentioned that GTA 6 is still accommodating for those who want to blitz the main story, there are some minor blocks that will require you to wait a set amount of time, or to raise funds.
That means players will have to go out of their way to gather money for a mission, which is where a wealth of side activities come in handy, like robbing a shop or delivering a particular car to a fence.
The latter is done through the WAINK App on the phone, which lists the models of vehicles wanted, alongside details like the security features and tracking capabilities, helping you to plan out your theft.
Higher-end models will ping their location to the police, so you’ll have to race to a drop-off location, and part of your payment is affected by the condition of the vehicle when it is delivered.
