GTA 6 Features a Fully Functional Public Transport System

New details have emerged showcasing the immense scale of Grand Theft Auto 6, revealing that the game will have a fully functional public transport system.

The Rockstar Games behemoth is finally releasing on November 19, with GTA 6 poised to be a seismic drop as it stands as undoubtedly the most anticipated game of all time, and even so close to launch, key details continue to emerge.

Developers have significantly improved the behind-the-scenes workings of GTA 6, resulting in a living world in Leonida, and it’s now been revealed that this includes a functional bus and rail transport system.

GTA 6 Features Functional Public Transport

Detailed in a lengthy exclusive from Edge magazine, via Games Radar, Rockstar’s head of development Phil Hooker explained his dedication to the feature.

“I’m obsessed with making sure they always turn up. So, anywhere in the middle of playing, I’ll just go: right, we’re going to get the bus to where we’re going. I’ve memorised all of the routes,” he said.

While these modes of transport are not new to the series, previous iterations were pretty limited, with buses being hijackable and unable to take you as a passenger, while the train in GTA 5 was a never-ending shuttle.

Now, it seems you’ll be able to take the public transport as a commute, which will result in you not needing to worry about the fuel and damage levels of your vehicle.

It remains to be seen whether they will serve as a reliable method of escape from the scene of a crime, and whether they will always be on time or could be delayed, but the feature is further evidence of Rockstar’s push to make GTA 6 as realistic as possible.
