If you thought folks were done leaking anything tied to Grand Theft Auto 6, which drops in just over five weeks, you were mistaken. In recent days, we’ve seen some juicy tidbits emerging from the GTA 6 space, and most recently, dataminers uncovered references to a GTA 6 x Discord collaboration, adding further fuel to stoke the hype train.
Per the leaked content, courtesy of the datamining effort, Discord and GTA 6 will enter into a promotional partnership days before the game comes out, on November 17. It’s a very simple thing, but right now, anything GTA-related is selling like hotcakes!
Grand Theft Auto 6 x Discord Event Leaks
In a post on social media, ‘Wumpus Central’ detailed an upcoming collaboration between Discord, the gamer-focused communications platform, and Rockstar Games’ GTA 6. It’s nothing huge, though. In fact, it’s probably the most predictable thing you could have ever imagined, but it’s something.
It was claimed that, from November 17, a campaign will start, allowing users to customize their Discord experience with GTA 6-style branding. They’ll be able to apply a GTA 6-themed app icon, platform theme, and custom display name font. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but there’s a bit more to it.

First, the campaign is pretty short-lived, reportedly ending on December 8, which means the promotion doesn’t even span three weeks. If you’re a Discord Nitro user, you can extend that to February 15, 2027, for some reason. If you’re absolutely desperate to pledge your affiliation with GTA 6 on Discord that much longer, you can leap in with a Nitro subscription.
In a post on social media, Wumpus Central revealed a preview of the app theme.
What’s kind of interesting is that an unidentified Discord Quest was also highlighted. It was stated that:
Some quest with (an) unknown reward may be coming soon during the campaign too.
For those not in the know, a Discord Quest is a marketing thing that allows users to earn prizes and rewards by playing certain games or interacting with certain content via the platform. Could there be a Discord integration of sorts coming up that allows users to earn something in-game via the platform? Or vice versa? Perhaps.
What’s pretty ironic is the notion of a PC-first communications platform getting a marketing crossover with a game that’s not planned to launch on PC… Yet.
