Season 1 in Gears of War: E-Day is set to be packed with content, with The Coalition revealing what players can expect ahead of the early access launch on October 1.
Gears of War: E-Day is a prequel to the games seen in the franchise so far, with The Coalition rolling things back to the dawn of Gears of War and the Emergence of the Locust.
While the single-player campaign will take a lot of the focus, multiplayer is, of course, a crucial aspect of Gears of War: E-Day, and the details for Season 1 have been revealed.
Gears of War: E-Day Season 1 Revealed
In a lengthy blog post, The Coalition outlined what players can expect through Season 1 and beyond in Gears of War: E-Day, including outlining some special events.
Halloween, 20 Years of Gears, and Thanksgibbing are the limited-time events coming in Season 1, each running for two weeks and featuring a Versus Event mode, a Horde Siege Event mission, and exclusive rewards.
Weekly Challenges will begin to refresh after launch on October 13, while the Shop will rotate every Tuesday, and will include free featured gifts.
Additionally, it was revealed that there are exclusive rewards available for those who played Gears of War: Reloaded, with a Fire and Fenix Pose for completing the ‘Prison Breakout’ Achievement, alongside an Old Guard Medal & Locked n’Reloaded Title for earning the ‘Re-Up’ Achievement in the game.
Season 1 in Gears of War: E-Day will run through to December 1, and it’s noted that post-launch seasons will vary in length, with more precise details revealed closer to the launch of each.
Season 2, titled Legacy and Beyond, will feature ‘content themed around the greatest hits of Gears of War,’ while the following seasons are called Infiltration, Pendulum, and Devotion.
