Fortnite players are well accustomed to the slew of regular content updates, and a fresh period of downtime is taking place on October 15.
Epic Games is shaking up Fortnite once again with another major update, continuing the trend of providing downtime and new content every two weeks, and will now deploy the second half of the Fortnitemares event.
If you’re wondering when you can jump back into Fortnite today, Insider Gaming has all the details.
When Will Fortnite Servers Be Back Up?
As is customary for Fortnite downtime, Epic Games has not shared a precise time for the servers to return, but they will be offline for several hours.
Downtime is set to start at 4 AM ET and, based on the length of previous downtime periods, the servers are expected to return two to three hours later, at 6 AM or 7 AM ET.
That’s far from nailed on, however, and there could be delays, especially if Epic Games encounters any issues when deploying the new content, which would, of course, need to be resolved.
The best place to track the status of the Fortnite servers is social media, and make sure you update your game before the servers are back so you can jump in immediately.
What’s in The Fortnite October 15 Update?
The October 15 update for Fortnite marks the halfway point of Epic Games’ annual Fortnitemares event, bringing new content and collabs to the fray.
New Sprites are available to collect, alongside the drop of new weapons into the loot pool, and you can expect a slew of new skins and cosmetics in the Item Shop.
All eyes may be on the future, however, with the update marking the last one before the transition into the final season of Chapter 7 next month, so players will be looking for hints.
It’s widely reported that an anime-themed mini-season is on the horizon, with One Piece taking center stage, and teasers could emerge.
