Fortnite is still in the midst of Chapter 7, Season 3, and while there are still plenty of weeks left to complete your Sprite collection, a shake-up is around the corner with the leaked DC update.
Epic Games has become the undisputed master of collabs, and having continued to benefit from close ties with Disney for the likes of Marvel and Star Wars, it’s time for DC characters to step into the limelight.

When is The DC Update in Fortnite?
The DC update is set to arrive on July 16, according to prominent leakers, bringing a range of superhero-themed antics to the party.
ShiinaBR cites NotPaloIntel as stating the DC summer update will arrive on July 16, and big reveals could be uncovered starting with next week’s update.
The return of the likes of Batman, Harley Quinn, and Poison Ivy was even leaked on the Nintendo eShop, and while Epic Games is yet to publicly make an announcement, a full reveal seems imminent.
However, it won’t be a new, DC-themed season, but will instead be an update to the current season, lasting until the end of Chapter 7, Season 3 in August.
What’s Coming in The Fortnite DC Update?
While the full details of the DC update in Fortnite haven’t been revealed by Epic Games, a slew of leaks have indicated what fans can expect to see.
New and returning skins from fan-favorite DC characters are on the agenda, including Batman, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and Poison Ivy, while there will also be a new Batman Sprite to add to your collection and hunt down the different variants.
The new DC skins are expected to be summer-themed, and there could also be new in-game items added to the loot pool. However, this is not confirmed.
Finally, leaks also show a new Batmobile vehicle will be available alongside a Batman-dog Sidekick, so there’s sset to be plenty to spend your V-Bucks on.
