A fresh batch of Sprites have been deployed into Fortnite for Chapter 7, Season 3, incxluding the new Boss Sprite to add to your collection.
The Sprite collection mechanic has proven to be one of the most popular additions to Fortnite this season, and Epic Games is capitalizing with a fresh drop, including the new Boss Sprite.
The mechanics to obtaining it are different, however, but Insider Gaming has all the information you need.
Where to Get a Boss Sprite in Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 3
Boss Sprites in Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 3 are obtained by eliminating the roaming bosses on the map. However, they can be difficult to find.
Rather than the old method of bosses in Fortnite having fixed locations, Epic Games now has the bosses set to appear randomly at several locations, so you never know exactly where the boss is lurking.
This can actually make it easier in the long run, however, as you don’t get an influx of players dropping immediately onto the boss. Instead, it adds variations to matches.
The best approach is to save a Portable Extractor for the Boss Sprite, as you’ll never know how long it will take to come across another one, and once it’s safe and secured, you don’t need to worry about it anymore.
Can You Loot a Boss Sprite in Fortnite?
Epic Games’ wording suggests that Boss Sprites can only be obtained by eliminating bosses in Fortnite, though it’s not 100% confirmed if the Sprite can still appear as loot from chests, fishing, or elsewhere.
The chosen wording seems pretty specific, however, so the focus to get a Boss Sprite should be oriented around tracking down bosses and eliminating them. However, it’s not the only way to obtain the Sprite for your collection.
You can collect a Boss Sprite from an enemy player if they had it equipped or in their inventory, and you can also get a player who has already unlocked it to enter a match and drop it for you.
Trading has become commonplace in Fortnite this season with Sprites, and there’s always players looking to complete trades to boost their collection.
