Sprites were first introduced into Fortnite in Chapter 6 but have made a triumphant return this season, with Epic Games‘ tweaks giving players a load of variants to collect, while also adding extraction shooter-like mechanics.

How to Get Sprites in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3
Sprites are mainly obtained through chests in Fortnite, similar to weapons and other loot items, but can also be found randomly across the map and can be dropped when eliminating opponents.
Encountering a Sprite isn’t enough to add it to your collection, however, as you must Extract with your Sprite, and there are five levels to unlock with each Sprite too, earned by getting eliminations, opening chests, and generally playing the game.
Sprites aren’t added to your collection until you Extract with them, which is done by visiting Extraction Sites scattered across the map, or by achieving a Victory Royale.
Be careful, as dying with a Sprite in your possession causes you to lose it. However, if you have a Sprite in your collection, it can be repurchased using Sprite dust.
