Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3’s director has commented on the development progress, revealing he has completed several playthroughs already.
We have heard a lot about Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3, but we have yet to receive an official reveal. Just last month, we were informed that the upcoming title will feature new gameplay mechanics. Now, new information has surfaced, and it seems we might be much closer to a reveal this time around.
Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 Release Could be Close
In a recent interview with Nintendo Life, Naoki Hamaguchi, the director of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3, shared updates on the development progress of the game. He expressed the team’s excitement about how the game is shaping up and their eagerness for players to experience it. Hamaguchi emphasized that they are working hard to “create an unforgettable gameplay experience.”
However, the line players should pay attention to is Naoki Hamaguchi’s comment that he has completed “over 40 full playthroughs” of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3. This suggests that the development process may be nearing its conclusion and could be in the final stages. Below is his complete statement:
“We’re very excited about how the game is currently progressing. I have already completed over 40 full playthroughs! I can’t wait for as many people as possible to experience the game for themselves, and myself and the team are working hard to ensure we can create an unforgettable gameplay experience.”
In other news, Final Fantasy 14 is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in Summer 2026. Additionally, the graphics of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 will not be affected by the multiplatform release. 40 Play throughs… God damn!! That is a shit load of play throughs of a game. That sounds like more than most directors do during the development of a game. That sounds like the game is in the polishing faze, farther along than I expected.
