Final Fantasy 14 Director Has No Retirement Plans in the Near Future
Before discussing the state of the industry, Final Fantasy 14 director Naoki Yoshida, also known as Yoshi-P, shared his thoughts on retirement plans in an interview with Famitsu, as translated by TheGamer. When asked about his future challenges and the message he wants to convey to fellow creators, Yoshi-P expressed that he still has many goals to pursue. He emphasized that the ongoing “evolution of Final Fantasy 14” is an important part of his future, stating that he has “no intention of retiring any time soon.”
The director stated that many game ideas are hidden within project proposals and that they are eager to see these concepts come to life. One such idea he mentioned was “game design that combines AI and servers.”
