Fantastic Four Coming to Fortnite This Week

Fortnite’s never-ending list of collaborations is getting a fresh entrance this week with the release of Fantastic Four costumes, it has been announced.

Marvel and Disney have close ties with Epic Games, as shown by the Absolute Doom season last year, but Marvel’s first family were conspicuously absent for the huge showdown in Fortnite with Doctor Doom.

That’s due to come to an end imminently, however, as skins for each member of the Fantastic Four arrive this week to coincide with the movie release.

Fantastic Four Fortnite Release Date

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the official Fortnite account confirmed the previously leaked news that skins for the Fantastic Four are on the horizon, with an official release date of July 25.

The Fantastic Four’s debut in the Fortnite Item Shop comes at the same time as the release of Fantastic Four: First Steps in movie theatres around the world, marking the long-awaited arrival of Marvel’s first family into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Each of the Fantastic Four members comes with additional bonuses, with Johnny Storm having a built-in “Flame On!” Emote to transform into his alt Style, the Human Torch, while Ben Grimm comes with an alt Style for The Thing.

Reed Richards, meanwhile, has the bendy Fantastic Fists as an included Pickaxe, along with the Fantastic Calculations Emote, while Susan Storm’s costume has a built-in Psionic Orbs Pickaxe.

It was also revealed that players will have the opportunity to unlock the Fantastic Four skins before anyone else in the Fantastic Four Cup, taking place on July 23. Prizes are distributed for the top points-earning squads in your region, while you can also unlock the It’s Clobberin’ Time Spray and Flame On Emoticon for surviving 60 and 120 cumulative minutes, respectively.

Will you be picking up the Fantastic Four skins when they arrive in the Fortnite Item Shop? Let us know in the Insider Gaming forum.
