The first major early access content update for Everwind has been announced, with The First Ascent set to launch in May 2026.
Everwind was released onto PC via Steam early access in March, where it made a solid first impression on us, and the update next month is providing even more for players to sink their teeth into.
The First Ascent Update Releases May 2026
As revealed during the Triple-i initiative on April 9, The First Ascent update is deployed to Everwind in May 2026. However, no specific drop date has been announced.
The release will mark the first major post-Early Access update, introducing new challenges, enemies, customization options and powerful gear, inspired by community feedback. Check out the trailer for The First Ascent update below.
While Everwind will be two months into Early Access when the new update launches, there is still plenty on the agenda. The roadmap reveals a host of significant content additions on the horizon.
This includes updates to building mechanics, the skill tree, AI, villagers, and story, alongside new gameplay modes, including Hardcore and Sandbox, and dedicated servers.
No precise release windows have been announced for the new content, and it’s noted that the roadmap “may evolve” based on “player feedback and ideas.”
Further down the line, when a full release emerges, Everwind could come to additional platforms, but the main focus during Early Access is enhancing the player experience and adding as much new content as possible. Currently, no end date for Early Access has been shared.
