If you’ve been hungrily awaiting news about The Elder Scrolls 6, you might be able to stave off your desperation by diving deep into Fatekeeper from June 2nd. This handcrafted RPG has been assembled by a team of just 13 developers, and from what we’ve seen, it could give Bethesda a run for its money.
Fatekeeper will launch as an early access title exclusively on Steam, which will allow the folks working on the title to ‘mitigate risk’ and assemble valuable feedback as quickly as possible to evolve the game in the right direction.
Paraglacial’s Fatekeeper Launches Soon
On June 2nd, Paraglacial will push Fatekeeper live on Steam, dropping a game that, at first blush, looks like a phenomenal first-person RPG. It smacks of The Elder Scrolls, promises deep progression mechanics, high customization, and a strong gameplay loop that encourages looting, intense combat, and multiple playstyles.

As they explore Fatekeeper, players will contend with ‘increasingly challenging enemies’, and from the shots and trailers available online, it looks as though the bestiary is dense.
It’s not a fully open-world title, as Paraglacial has written:
While Fatekeeper follows a focused narrative path, the world invites exploration. From ancient battlegrounds, vast underground caverns and serene forests to crumbling sanctuaries forgotten by time, each area rewards curiosity with hidden lore, forgotten relics, and unexpected encounters.
The environments on display look sumptuous and richly detailed, which many will prefer over an overwhelming, expansive map.
With a short trailer, publisher THQ Nordic unveiled the early access date for Fatekeeper:
It’s arriving a little later than intended, with Paraglacial originally planning to push it into early access last winter. Nevertheless, it’s coming with a firm date, and it’s looking sharp.
