The Nintendo Switch 2 is going to be graced with a new DK game—Donkey Kong Bananza. It’s been years since the last new game, making the release date and times must-have information.
If you’ve not had the chance yet, I implore you to check out Donkey Kong Bananza. It shifts away significantly from the traditional 2.5D format of recent entries and delves into full-on 3D platformer territory. The development team consists of talent associated with Super Mario Odyssey, too.
It could be one of the best DK games ever. If you’re preparing yourself for Donkey Kong Bananza, let’s check out its release date information.
Donkey Kong Bananza Release Date

Nintendo’s Donkey Kong Bananza launches exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2 on July 17.
As with every Nintendo first-party title, don’t expect a range of more expensive editions to choose from. There isn’t a super-duper version with more content, nor is there a way to get Early Access.
You’ll go bananas with impatience, but the only way to play Donkey Kong Bananza is to wait until July 17 like everyone else. It’s getting a physical and digital release, and while it’s not as expensive as Mario Kart World, be prepared to spend a bunch of pennies to get your hands on it.
If you do, you get to see Donkey Kong’s controversial new redesign up close and personal.
Donkey Kong Bananza Start Times
Nintendo games go onto the eShop at 7 AM PT this time of year, meaning this is when you should be able to download and start playing Donkey Kong Bananza.
I know PT doesn’t apply to all of you, though. So let’s break this down into even more time zones and regions.
| Time Zone | Donkey Kong Bananza Release Times & Dates |
|---|---|
| Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) | 7:00 AM—July 17 |
| Central Daylight Time (CDT) | 9:00 AM—July 17 |
| Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) | 10:00 AM—July 17 |
| British Summer Time (BST) | 3:00 PM—July 17 |
| Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) | 12:00 AM—July 18 |
If the Donkey Kong Bananza Direct hasn’t gotten you excited for the full game, then I don’t know what will. If it hasn’t, drop your thoughts through the Insider Gaming forum to give USD your impressions of the title, and what Nintendo has got right and wrong with it.
