Demos are a great way to test out a game before purchasing it, and they’re beginning to come back in fashion. A fair few modern games have demos on offer, and many are wondering if there’s one out there for 007 First Light.
It makes sense, as who wouldn’t want to play as the main man himself, James Bond? It’s been a long time since a Bond video game, and some of you out there might be wary about its arrival. A demo would certainly help alleviate them, but is there one available for 007 First Light? Find out below.
Is There A 007 First Light Demo?
Unfortunately, there is no playable demo for 007 First Light, meaning you can’t test the game out before purchasing.
It’s a shame, as demos are becoming more and more common once again. It’s a great sentiment, as it allows gamers to test a title before committing to a purchase, but in this case, you’ll have to take the risk and buy 007 First Light without one.

That being said, IO Interactive are the developers here, and 007 First Light will share a lot of similarities with their core franchise, Hitman. If you’ve played any of the recent Hitman games, you’ll already have a small taste of what to expect when controlling Bond.
Sure, he’ll be quicker, and there are a lot more set pieces and action segments, but when it comes to the sandbox sections in various missions, you’ll recognise the evolution from the Hitman games. With no demo in sight, this might be your best bet to get a semblance of a glimpse at 007 First Light before release.
How Have Others Played 007 First Light Early?
You might have seen others get their hands on 007 First Light early, and that’s largely thanks to preview events hosted by IO Interactive.
There are plenty of ways to play games before they release, but it largely boils down to who you know. Content creators and press are typically given access to titles such as this at preview events, where they can get a feel for the game to share with their audience.

Outside of those events, games can show up as playable demos at events like Gamescom, though they’re rarely released to the wider public. It’s worth noting that these demos are usually still a work in progress, and not the final build of a game, whereas public demos are usually a short snippet of the full game.
