Death Stranding 2 Players Can Use a Battle Guitar
The ESRB rating for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach has been revealed (via TheGamer), providing several interesting details about the M-rated title. Most interestingly, players can access a ‘Battle Guitar’ as a melee weapon. This unique weapon was briefly shown in the announcement trailer for Death Stranding 2, where Higgs uses some intense guitar shredding to electrocute his enemies.
Apart from the Battle Guitar, we learn other details about Death Stranding 2. As expected, players will embody the role of Sam Porter Bridges as they deliver goods and packages across a vast, post-apocalyptic open world. Here, they will find different types of enemies, such as human soldiers, battle androids, and ghostly apparitions.
Players will have access to melee weapons like the battle guitar and some ranged firearms like machine guns and sniper rifles to take down these enemies. Death Stranding 2 will also feature stealth mechanics, where enemies can be discreetly incapacitated.
There were also details about Death Stranding 2’s violence and gore. The battle will sometimes be ‘frenetic’ with realistic gunfire, blood splatters and a slow-motion effect. Some violent scenes were also mentioned, where a robotic samurai slices off a man’s hands and legs, a man is burned fantastically, and a man is cut in half.
In other news, Hideo Kojima is teasing many Death Stranding 2 cameos. Also, the game director confirmed that an anime is in the works. What are your thoughts on Death Stranding 2 featuring a battle guitar melee weapon? Let us know below and join the official Insider Gaming forums discussion.
