Marvel Rivals has confirmed the two new heroes coming in Season 8, now titled Sins of Alchemax. As was previously suspected, Cyclops and Devil Dinosaur are joining the ever-growing roster, with Moon Girl also making an appearance.
The news was confirmed during the first trailer for the upcoming season, which is due to release on Friday, May 15, 2026.
First Season 8 Details Revealed
The new trailer gives us our first glimpse into the plot of Marvel Rivals Season 8, with Alchemax taking center stage. Cyclops is seen destroying countless robotic enforcers with his optic blasts, which look incredibly similar to those of Darkseid across the comic pond.
As he continues to obliterate the enemies, he spots Moon Girl amongst the rubble. In a final, devastating effort, he seems to lose control and create a crater around the pair before ultimately yielding. The trailer closes with the two of them getting taken away, but hope isn’t lost just yet.
Devil Dinosaur’s charm pendant is chiming, signalling that Moon Girl needs help. It seems like all roads are pointing towards the Season opening with Devil Dinosaur, and as the plot continues through Gallery Cards, Cyclops will eventually be freed and playable alongside Season 8.5.
The trailer has got fans wondering whether Moon Girl will be playable in some way, shape, or form, as she’s usually inseparable from Devil Dinosaur.
