An intense action MOBA title like Wildcard means there are a lot of inputs to consider. Having optimal controls is essential, hence why players like custom keybinds to configure the game. Wildcard didn’t launch with the feature, so let’s see if it’s been added since.
You have to juggle your Champion‘s movements, your Summons, and a whole host of other abilities while trying to battle your opponent(s) in Wildcard. The playtest has had you at the mercy of the game’s default inputs, though.
We know you can use a PlayStation or Xbox controller with the multiplayer title, but can you have custom controls?
Does Wildcard Have Custom Keybinds?

Yes, Wildcard now has the option to use custom keybinds, as it was introduced in one of the title’s major updates.
The giant Alpha 4 made wholesale changes to the gameplay, such as buffs and nerfs. But one of the biggest alterations came to the game’s settings menu as a new addition was welcomed: Custom keybinds.
If you’re unhappy with how The Wildcard Alliance set up the OG controls, fear not.
How to Select Custom Keybinds in Wildcard
You need to go into the game’s main settings, find the Mouse & Keyboard option, and you can tweak the control configuration to your heart’s content.
Here are some quickfire instructions to execute this ability:
- Go to the Wildcard home screen.
- Click on Options.
- Move across to Mouse & Keyboard.
- Scroll down to Input Bindings.
- Chop and change the controls and their inputs!
Melee, movement, and the way you inflict mayhem are part and parcel of Wildcard. You’re no longer consigned to the same standard buttons and prompts. Wild, huh?
This is a small but handy quality of life improvement. It’s expected to be one of many as Wildcard’s Playtest period continues. Are you happy to see the introduction of manual inputs for the controller settings? Let us know in the comments and through the Insider Gaming forum.
