College Football 26 Presentation Updates Include Updated Commentary, New Mascots, and More

EA Sports has released its breakdown of everything new coming to College Football 26’s presentation this year. From environment lighting to new mascots, there is plenty of new additions for players coming off the success that was College Football 25.

One of last year’s biggest presentation features involved unique runouts at universities across the United States. In College Football 26, those are being improved in the form of a new tiered system. There’s also unique pre-game events such as drone shows, band formations, and more to make each game feel special to that program.

“Whether it’s a primetime game, a rivalry steeped in history, or a quick matchup in your Road to College Football grind, our new runout system ensures that every game is tailored to the moment,” Design Director Christian Brandt said.

Another big new feature is the inclusion of real-world coaches in this year’s release. Over 300 head coaches and coordinators will see their likenesses in College Football 26, adding more realism to what fans see each time they load the game. There are even a number of new mascots coming this year such as Buster Bronco, Louie the Cardinal, Baldwin the Eagle, and more.

Commentary Gets A Boost

After laying the foundation last year, College Football 26 features 15,000 new lines of commentary from the likes of Kirk Herbstreit, Chris Fowler, Reece Davis, and others.

“This year, they have added even more content around Rivalry Games…the College Football Playoff, and callouts/recaps on significant results from the 2024 College Football season,” Brandt said.

“We’ve also added Banter around Coaches and Players from last year. Having real coaches as part of College Football ‘26 is something that our commentary teams thoroughly enjoyed exploring for the first time.”

Lastly, regarding commentary, it will update to talk about prior season results, rankings during the year, and more during your Road to Glory and Dynasty Modes.

Bands Keep On Marching

“No college gameday experience is complete without a Marching Band, and for College Football ‘26, we’ve amplified how often and where you’ll hear from some of the amazing musicians we worked with to create this soundscape,” Brandt says.

From the time the game hits the start-up screen to being in the stadiums themselves, music from the nation’s best marching bands will be present for players. EA says there were 88 new pieces of music to “enhance the stadium experience”.

Within the game’s menus, no longer will it be the same drumline for hours on end. Instead, there are 15 new fight songs on the soundtrack as well as 16 covers of popular songs such as Blinding Lights, Get By, DNA, Focus, and others.
