CDL 2027 Schedule Announcement Reveals Return to UK and Europe

The Call of Duty League is officially headed back to the United Kingdom and Europe in 2027, with a Major tournament landing both at DreamHack Birmingham in April and in Europe in February. The European location has yet to be revealed, but stay tuned, because I’ll have confirmation on that very soon.

The season that wrapped up earlier this year was a record-breaking whirlwind, with events selling out in record time and venues welcoming enormous, energetic crowds. The expectation is that next season will bring more of the same, and this time around, it’s playing out on Modern Warfare 4.

COD League is Back in Britain

Next year’s Call of Duty League season returns to the United Kingdom via DreamHack Birmingham, which played host this year to the fastest-selling COD esports event in history. It was a monumental event that was years in the making, and when it returns in April, it should be a showstopper.

First up is a stop in Europe on February 12, in a location that Activision is keeping hush-hush for now. Heads up: I’ve got the inside track and will confirm that location soon.

In May, the CDL 2027 season heads to Toronto, and then on June 18, the West Coast plays host to Major IV. That’ll most likely be a California-based Major.

Things wrap up with Call of Duty League Champs landing under OpTic Texas’ belt on July 8. This could mirror the spectacle that was the 2024 COD Champs, which saw OpTic Texas win the title for the first time since 2017 while hosting, before going on to win back-to-back trophies in 2025.

Along the way, we’ll have other events and circuits crop up. Major II in the UK will host a LAN Pro-Am, adding Challengers teams to the competition, and at Major III, a ‘slight shakeup’ will take place, with Activision hosting a play-in round.

Major IV on the West Coast will see another Pro-Am hit, before the Call of Duty League Championship lands.

What’s exciting is that, while OpTic Texas is hosting COD Champs, there’s no indication of where it’s going, but the organization has been vocal in the past about taking COD Champs out of North America for the first time.
